Authenticity is the secret sauce of life. 

You are the ONLY you there will ever be. If you do not fully express the authentic YOU that you came here to be, you deprive the world of your unique perspective. 

I know it feels hard to be yourself sometimes. Humans want to be liked. We want to fit in, so we follow cues from those around us about what is pleasing and what is not. Unfortunately one person may want us to be MORE of one quality or characteristic, while another tells us to exhibit LESS of that quality or characteristic to please them.

Please remember that people who tell others that we are too much or not enough, are not able to be authentic. They ares simply trying to adhere to the constraints to which they have been conditioned, and make sure that you are also constrained. 

Well FUCK that!

You did not come here to follow arbitrary rules of behavior. You did not come here as the being of infinite intelligence and extraordinary light that you ARE to follow a path set forth by others. Especially if you find that path restricting or limited.

Let your weird light shine! Let your freak flag fly. Say exactly what you think, and laugh great joyful belly laughs with your head thrown back and your mouth wide open. Be the wonderful, playful, crazy, mystical, vulnerable, lovable, magical being that you ARE.

If “they” don’t like it, “they” are not your people. Your people love you as you are, and deeply desire to know the authentic you!

Let’s take dating as an example. If we adopt a mask that is ‘culturally acceptable’ (whatever that means) but not true to who we are, we attract a mate who likes the mask, and wants someone like the character we are playing. If we create a relationship with this person, we may live in fear of letting the mask down! What if they don’t like the real me underneath?

So be the beautiful YOU that you are!

If you feel the need to loudly go against cultural norms to stand in your power and align with your truth, then I implore you to boldly go against the norm. It will be a beacon for your tribe!

If someone doesn’t like the authentic you, then you’ll know right away, and won’t waste time on trying to be what pleases them. Be all the versions of you that YOU love being, and you will attract people who love ALL the versions of you.
