Today I moved my tender tomato starters into pots and put them under a grow light in my kitchen window. I’ve done all that I can do for them. Now I’ll have to see if it was enough to get back some love.
I also put my lettuce starters in one of my “salad bowls” in the mini-greenhouse on our south facing deck. I covered them with, appropriately, a salad bowl inside the greenhouse, because it’s supposed to freeze tonight.

A lesson learned during the rough war years going on a century ago is that newsprint is a perfect insulater. If you put a layer of newsprint on top of your salad bowls it will keep the warmth overnight
That’s a good one in a pinch. I prefer not to have to remove during the day to let the light in.
Oh your wee tomatoes seedlings are looking good, as I watch them grow it will be getting closer to our winter. Not as cold down here as it is at Your place. Why not leave the lettuce inside?
I only have so much room inside. I’m using a grow light for the tomatoes, which the lettuce doesn’t need. It’s doing well in the hoop garden.
makes perfect sense.
