Forget the Gym; Shovel Rocks

The process of cleaning and stacking muddy rocks…
not a spandex type of job…

I’ve always been a stranger to gyms. I prefer to have something to show for my efforts, other than looking in the mirror. This week I lost a couple pounds of  winter weight shoveling muddy rocks. Mr. Mims gave me the ultimatum to finish by Monday, when he will get and dump a scoop of rocks.

After piling rocks on a screen over the wheelbarrow, I rinsed them off. Then I shoveled them on to the landscaping fabric, starting at the highest point, where the rain gutter drains. I spread them down to the end of the fabric with a hoe. The job’s not done, but ready for the expected thunderstorm tonight, which I shall probably now sleep soundly through.
