One Woman on a Mountainside

The truth is that one sixty year old woman with a shovel can't move a mountain, but she can do a whole lot to assist the soil, herself, her neighbors downstream, the birds and the bees. She can invite the beaver to come back, and The People too, who walk the land and have always showed us how to be custodians, and how to say thank you even when we haven't listened.

Soil and People

Doing more for your soil doesn't require spending, or extra effort. It requires the opposite. Our relationships with each other are the same way. If we feed them with love, they will prosper without much difficulty. If we pour on fake feelings and disrespect we will wind up with a lifeless pile of dirt falling through our fingers.
