This winter, I have been experimenting on a small scale with different ways to produce a winter crop of salad fixings for our table.

Looking Ahead for Lettuce
I have also been saving some goodies from the kitchen, the root ends of some butter leaf lettuce and a couple of onions. I will be planting those under the agribon soon. The onions will go on the edges to keep bugs at bay.

The Big Daddy supermarket. Fresh lettuce for the table now. Broccoli, cabbage, chard, corn, tomatoes and okra in various stages along the food supply timeline.
