So, after a few years of patches and workarounds, the time had arrived for a chicken coop update.

So later today will finally be the time to combine my sliced carrots and fresh rosemary with my home made chicken broth, minus the soup I made with some of it last night (not in the masterplan either but I have a sore throat and it was good to me.)

What Kind of Chicken is That?

Will they be good layers? I have to admit I am still a chicken breeding virgin, and it seems like the more I learn about chicken breeding the less I understand. Three things are certain. They eat and drink and sh*t.

I always thought that the expression, the early bird catches the worm, meant that if you were prepared and got up early in the morning, you would be rewarded. But now I'm wondering if it first came from the idea that the early bird, the one that breaks free first, would surely get the first worm from its mother...
