The International “Water and Film” Events are a joint initiative of the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) and the French Water Academy, which was launched in Mexico City in March 2006, at the 4th World Water Forum. Focusing on film and the theme of water and sanitation, the international gathering is intended to:
• Enhance the program of the World Water Forums,
• Inform the general public and raise awareness regarding the challenges in water resource management,
• Highlight and promote the production of films and documentaries on the theme of water,
• Add to the image banks in this field.
The next edition of the International “Water and Film” Events will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, in the context of the 5th World Water Forum.
Registration is open until November 2nd 2008.
