I was her muse as she stood above me,
Trying to capture the beauty she found in my face,
on paper,
In pencil.
Seamless tears fell.
The full moon rose behind her as the stars came into
my view brushing
Softly across my lips and sparkling in her eyes.
Their light delivered my heart into her hands,
Our so loved [...]

What you touch grows.
You knows
how to get to that part
of me, the heart
of the matter
served on a platter
of sweet treats
dark succulent meat
full of nutrition.
You keeps me on a mission
to keep the feast coming
and coming and coming,
taste the juicy fruits
engage in your pursuit
of my special pleasure,
my hidden treasure,
a bud that only blossoms
when you reach for the [...]

(for my friend Socks)
Socks, you are such a warm and cool
Benevolent cat
How I envy you and your life
You live your life like a Vagabond,
A Hunter
And a King
Warmed by your lounging space where you lay about
By the firelight
That sometimes you will share
Rather reluctantly
Or by the portable heater
Which you claim and covet as your own
O, so selfishly
Cooled [...]

You are the picture of beauty in a world with no eyes.
The lovely voice in the distance I chose to ignore,
Only to find I have nothing else.
I am the sea that endlessly laps at your shore,
Only to turn back before ever tasting the sun.
The lover that parts your world [...]

One thing I’ve
learned with just
a little
hindsight, is
that talk is
cheaper than
spit. There are
plenty of
people who
talk good game
but when it’s
time to walk
their feet get
sore or they
get hungry
for easy
pickings or
they wait
for someone
else to cross
over to the
other side
first to test
the waters.
The water
is not safe.
There are no
boueys with
authorized
signs unless
you hear bird
calls at dusk,
but you still
have to cross.
The other
side is where
your [...]
