In Between Past and Future

Last week when our new issue went live on March 26, 2008, some very strange things happened which brought the entire site down for a little while, and left it only semi-functional for a few days. Now, although we are fully functioning again, with a few little bugs, we are missing our entire last issue from our database, because somewhere in there we were hacked. I may make the effort to restore the missing content, but that will not be possible this week. Thanks for all the comments left on my letter from last week, which are now gone along with the article… Read More

STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

I would like to welcome you to another week of self-discovery and universal understanding. You start your forecast week of major transit on early Wednesday when Pluto, the planet of regeneration and soul evolution, at 1º Capricorn will turn retrograde. Final Friday Open Mic

Final Friday Open Mic by Martha Cinader Mims copyright 2008, all rights reserved.
Womens History Night was planned before we ever planned to the close the cafe. It was a great way to celebrate with our final open mic, full of creative feminine energy. The pictures speak for themselves I do believe. Thanks to all who participated, and for all the testimonies too. We heard Tony and Martha, or Martha and Tony, repeatedly throughout the night, affirming that we functioned as WE, these last three years, during which time I learned so much.

LAST DANCE

I would love to be able to say that Tony and Martha have pulled one of the all-time greatest pranks on Vallejo by announcing the closing of the Listen & Be Heard Poetry Café, having one of the greatest farewell events EVER last Saturday, and moving into new avenues of life, all as a joke, but I cannot. The café is closed. Done. No more.
