From our local city council controversy over when to go bankrupt, to our national struggle for democracy in the twenty first century, there’s plenty if current events to keep our conversations centered on the present. Part of finding a path to the future is looking back and learning from the past.

Last Friday we focused on black history with poetry, comedy and the beat of the drums of Africa and much more when The Talons took the stage. You can feel the vibrations from the pictures even. The spirits came and we moved on with a new pep in our steps.

On to Saturday morning, when the guitar and bass players came from all around to join Ed in the jam session.
