Thanks to Richard Freedman’s article in the Times Herald (http://www.timesheraldonline.com/sundayoutlook/ci_8027366) we’ve had some phone calls from people learning about our existence for the first time. That’s Richard sitting on our couch early last Thursday morning, when he showed up with his tape recorder for the interview. Don’t worry, we gave him a cup of the best coffee in Vallejo!
As always there was poetry on Friday night, and the cast of characters cast a wide net. Thanks to all who participated. I think the pictures capture some of the emotion and depth of the poetry portrayed by the creators of poetry.
This Friday will be special, because we are featuring the unofficial poet laureate of Vallejo, Q.R. Hand jr, who will read from his newly published book of poetry Whose Really Blues. It’s a great night to come out, enjoy the live music and poetry, read some of your own, buy a book from Q.R. and get him to sign it, and then listen to him read from it.
Wishing you all Peace and Poetry
