Who Believed in His Dream

January 17th, 2008 by crystal pierce · No Comments

Last night peace filled the room.
You know that mellow groove and tune that we all like
to enjoy.
The sounds of a Political Movement just calmed my
presence.
Heroic leaders walked the land by the thousands.
Real men and women stemmed hand in hand.
Children congregated on stages in suits rather then
jeans that hang low from pistols and weapons of mass
destruction.
Yeah that reminds me the war in Iraq ended as well.
Black colleges regained control of the importance of
Education and leadership and 100
Colleges were built in the last year compared to only
2 prisons. The prison system recently had a large
population decline and a loss of millions of prison
dollars.
Mumia was free of the murder he didn?Äôt commit and over
2 million of our Brothas and Sistas were released on
Martin Luther King?Äôs birthday.
He would have loved to see that.

Marcus Garvey Day became a National holiday yesterday
and today we celebrate
Our Ancestors and Great Leaders who struggled and
strived through the depression and war for OUR Freedom
Our Declaration of Independence and Justice for US of
Color, Nationality and Race.
Whose face do you see when you look in the mirror? Is
it the face you appreciate?
While we awake from the dream, it?Äôs time to live in
reality…. this is a dream that so many believed in
and this too shall be in existence with praise,
movement and determination
As our fellow Sista and Brothas believed in… just to
name a few that have contributed to
