:      there is a method to demolishing chicken houses
so as to save the lumber?Ķ

start with the roof
pull off the shingles & the 1X6 siding
expose the insides to the elements
strip to the frame & floor

listen to the wind
relax, let the wind wind through you
through the cracks between the molecules
       of wood, you-

wood speaks to you
wood creaks
       whistles thru its cracks
wood is wall absorbing stories
       from inside
              from outside
see wood?Äîthe different perspectives
              (move, the perspectives change)
eac h board has a different story to tell
a forest of stories to tell!!!
                     tell seed
                     tell sapling
                     tell Giant Sequoia

T – I – M – B – E – R !

                     tell Earth moan
                     tell thunder of dust
                     tell silence of death?Ķ

smell hot teeth of saw grind deadwood to dust & lumber
to stud, plank & beam its life-after-death
in the world of paper money

walk through tamed wilderness?Ķ
stumps & logs leveled & left to rot
in the shadows of concrete high rises
taste the bitterness of eroded earth
& feel the slivver of pain that first wakes us into living awareness

healing wind-
blow the dust cornered in years
sweep the broken shrines of brittle spiders
play their loose ends like chimes
in this empty room

there is a method to demolishing chicken houses
so as to save the lumber
              so as to grow on…
