Join us on the 29th day of February, as we extend Black History Month in America to the very last minute of the month. It will be an evening packed with poetry, comedy and the drumbeat of Africa. We will be extending our usual Friday night event another hour, to keep drums beating until midnight.
8-9pm- Special Black History Poetry Set: poets Martha & Tony Mims with CarlTrent on Percussion and Paul Neal on upright bass.

9-9:40pm-open mic

9:40-10pm-comedy

10pm-midnight the Talons

What is self evident is that The Talons play together for the love of music, the love of the drum beat, and just for love too. Originally from a garage in East Palo Alto, The Talons have solidified into a band that keeps the heartbeat of a night meant for fun and exultation alive. Usually they come with a few surprise guests and often with master trumpeter Mark Wright.

Please join us in recognizing one of the many facets of our diverse culture, that has influenced each and every one of us in one way or another.

Wishing you Peace and Poetry
Martha and Tony Mims
