Back in September we hung a new show of work by Cleven “Goodie” Goudeau here at Listen & Be Heard Poetry Cafe, a combination of prints of both fine art and caricatures. Goodie’s rendition of personalities, all of whom have appeared on the Listen & Be Heard Poetry Cafe stage, brought a combination of laughter and exclamations. Some of the subjects even protested.

Me, I look about twenty years old, so I’m not complaining. They’ve been getting snatched up, and with good reason, people like Gabi Wilson and Babatunde Lea may be our neighbors but they are also national figures. The value of their image is likely to increase with their notoriety…
