This was the first time, in the three years since I joined the Vallejo Artists?Äô Guild, that I have not had a place to show my work. I was to show at Tiki Tattoo parlor but they were in the middle of a move (and I thought they just didn?Äôt like may work.)
So I just had to make do, and enjoy a relaxing weekend of other people’s work. And enjoy I did. The resulting images are from the 19 locations participating in the Vallejo Artists’ Guilds 2007 Open Studios on October 6 and 7. Included was the work of four different local high schools, The Coal Shed Studios on Mare Island, The Vallejo Architectural Heritage Foundation building. A reception was held at the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum on Friday night, October 5 where some of the pieces will still hang until Oct 27th.
