21st Century Woes

September 11th, 2007 by peter bray · No Comments

I want a Starbucks on each corner,
a WalMart on each block,
if I can’t have everything I want,
then my heart will go into hock…

I don’t want some bright guy for a president,
I want an oil mogul for each head of state.
If I can’t have everything I want,
then I’ll simply buy a bigger plate…

I can hardly spell H-I-V,
global warming’s not yet in my face,
stem cells aren’t bottles in my medicine cabinet
and to gay marriage I can’t relate…

I just want my Starbucks on each corner,
a WalMarter for each head of state,
if I can’t have all the cheap gas I want,
then I’ll simply buy a bigger plate…

Genocide means whut?
Darfur’s a buncha miles away.
If everybody wants their own nuclear arms,
then what’s a pre-emptive guy supposed to say?

I just wanna Starbucks on each corner,
a WalMart on each block,
if I can’t have a fuel-guzzler or an SUV,
then my heart’ll go into hock…

Education’s never been my worry,
I got all the gudd grdes I could,
if there’s not enough oil or coal to go around,
let ‘em heat themselves up with wood…
Green whut?
Global who?
President…where?
Isama? Wasn’t he from Iraq?
Didn’t we get him in Iran?
9-11? Ten comes after 11…
