Rush Hour 3At first consideration, the partnering of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker seemed way too odd to ever succeed. It turned out to be a brilliant pairing, with Rush Hour 2 emerging as the highest grossing film during the summer of its release. Set mainly in Paris, Rush Hour 3 continues the adventures of detectives Carter and Lee. Evidence surfaces that a list of the secret leaders of the Triads exists. If all the Triad bosses could be arrested, the organization would collapse. The hyperactive Carter and the reserved Lee take on the case, leaving crashed cars and bullet casings in their wake. The two encounter everyone from a female assassin to a bigoted taxi driver. There is a chemistry between Tucker and Chan that makes the Rush Hour films work. The characters of Lee and Carter have complimentary skills on screen. Both very physical performers, Jackie Chan’s stunt work was excellent while between escapades, Chris Tucker shared screen time with the hottest actresses. The infamous Roman Polanski has a small role as a French police officer.
