I would like to welcome you to another week of self-discovery and universal understanding. You only have three major transits this week, and they all involve the planet Mars. The planet Mars is the energizer of the Zodiac, whereever you find the placement of Mars in your chart, you find the engine that drives your life force. What sign that Mars is in, directs how the force and power of Mars’ engine will be used to drive your life to its destiny. The transiting Mars driving around your chart, has the same energizing effect on your natal house placements and planets. Mars has a bad reputation in the Zodiac; his assertiveness makes him an instigator of war and strife. He’s a skilled warrior that must fight for the cause he believes in. Mars has a soft side that is not publicized as much as his warring qualities. Mars has a fatal attraction for the goddess Venus; only for her love will he lay down his sword and take off his armor. Mars and Venus are the heavenly lovers, magnetically drawn together, with each one needing what the other has to give in order to achieve completion. Mars’ desire for love is the fuel that feeds the engine that drives your life force. The desire to be loved, to be whole, and to be one is what drives all of us through the many challenges of life. It’s that Mars’ desire that put us at war with everything that is weak and half-assed that blocks the path that keeps us from the wholeness of love. The aggressive masculine energy of Mars finds wholeness in the love of feminine Venus. These are the root desires that drives us all to create peace, when there is war.

Mars’ passage through the sign Aquarius has been a driving force behind the many break-ups of weak friendships that are no longer useful to you on your path of wholeness. Also, the aggressive Mars energy has been very useful for those seeking to expand their awareness, forming connection with groups, and higher minded thinkers. This is not the time to be a loner, nor should you allow your own ego drives to conflict with everyone else’s. This transit theme is: be a team player.

The first of these Mars transits will happen on Thursday, when Mars at 18º Aquarius will be opposite Saturn, the planet of restriction and disciplined action at 18º Leo. The energy of this opposition of Mars with Saturn will have you feeling extremely irritated today. Today will require great patience dealing with groups of people, and in your personal relationship. You will encounter annoying ego conflicts with your co-workers and friends; these attacks will come in a way that you can’t directly address the aggressor. So you will internalize the hurt, because today your sense of self feels somewhat inadequate. This psychological inadequacy make you hold in your hurt and anger instead of fighting back. Now your anger turns into a slow burn; keeping you pissed off for as long you hold on to your anger. The proper response is to recognize that the other person’s act has hurt you in some way and then to air your grievance.

On Friday morning the second of these Mars transits will happen when Mars, at 19º Aquarius, sextiles Jupiter, the planet of growth and expansion at 19º Sagittarius. The energies of this sextile of Mars with Jupiter will create a morning when you wake up feeling full of drive and ready for the opportunities of the day. Your personal relationship to what groups you belong to, will be one of today’s focuses. You need to know your group’s goals and objectives so you can be a better member and add to the growth of the group. On Friday your individual goals will be much clearer then usual, which will enable you to deal very intelligently with any group or personal concerns. Today your energy level is high and full of optimism, so don’t overlook the small details that are necessary to the success of any endeavor. Your activities under this transit should bring opportunities for personal and group growth by expanding your range of experiences.

The last of this week’s major Mars transits is on Sunday when Mars at 21º Aquarius will conjunct Neptune, the planet of universal love and selfless service. The energy of this conjunction of Mars with Neptune will inspire and motivate you to serve the needs of others. Today you will hear the call for help from your friends in need of your services and friendship. Today you will feel sensitive to the needs of the sick and disadvantaged. You will feel more inclined to reach out and help others over the needs of self. Just don’t become one of the disadvantaged yourself, because today your good intentions could be taken advantage of, so be careful that the people you reach out to help, are representing themselves truthfully.
