Reginald Lockett to be Featured at Vallejo Open Mic

Reginald Lockett

Reginald Lockett is the author of four books of poetry: “Good Times & No Bread,” “Where the Birds Sing Bass,” for which he was awarded the 1996 PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Award for Literary Excellence, “The Party Crashers of Paradise,” and “Random History Lessons.” His work has appeared in over 60 periodicals, anthologies, and text books. He has performed his work throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Michigan, St. Louis, Paris, and Pennsylvania. He has taught composition, basic writing skills, literature, and creative writing at Laney College, College of Marin, Evergreen Valley College, and San Francisco State University. He has taught at San Jose City College for the past 16 years and performed with the WordWind Chorus for over 20 years. He lives in Oakland.

Reginald will be featured during the Open Mic on January 19, 2007 at Listen & Be Heard Poetry Caf 818 Marin Street, Downtown Vallejo, 94590. 707-554-4540.
